Expanding Horizons Through Writing

Writing Workshop with Sara Tucker

The spring workshops will take an international turn as writers living in France and Denmark join local participants to give feedback on writing samples. Join us for a discussion of work by the participants in our winter writing workshop. Each discussion will have a theme that addresses common writing concerns.

Lecture by Professor Sodergren, Chair of the History and Political Science Department at Norwich University

Join Professor Steven Sodergren, the Chair of the History and Political Science Department at Norwich University, to talk about the book Robert E. Lee and Me: A Southerner’s Reckoning with the Myth of the Lost Cause. 

The author of the book, Ty Seidule, a West Point graduate who grew up in the South idolizing Lee, chronicles his journey of education as he reassesses his perspective of Lee.  

(You do not need to have read the book to join this event.)

Advanced Directive Workshop

Thursday Jun 30th 6:30 pm to 7:30 pm

Katja Evans will give a short presentation about the importance of having an Advanced Directive to ensure your medical wishes are known at a time when you may not be able to make your wishes known. She will also discuss how to choose a health agent and how to fill out the form. There will also be time for questions.
