    • Adopt an Author

Adopt an Author

Adopt an Author puts you first in line to borrow your favorite author’s books. Here’s how it works:

  1. Let us know whom you want to “adopt.” It can be a writer for adults, children, or teens. Please keep in mind that the librarians have final say in the adoptability of an author.
  2. Let us know which format you want: large print, regular print, or audiobook.
  3. The Library will order that author’s new books as they are published.
  4. When each item arrives, staff will let you know. In return for being first in line for it, you reimburse the Library for the discounted cost (20-45% off, generally).
