Kimball Library has Wi-Fi! You can access the wireless network anywhere inside the Library, and outside too.The public wireless network is named Kimball Public. There is no password, but you will be prompted to agree to the Library's WiFi policy.
INCOME TAX FORMSBoth the IRS and the Vermont Department of Taxes have sharply curtailed distribution of paper income tax forms and instructions at public libraries.
This year, Kimball Library is able to distribute only the following forms:
Form 1040 – but no instruction booklets
Form 1040A – but no instruction booklets
Form 1040EZ – but no instruction booklets
W-2 / W-3
1099-MISC / 1096

TAX PREPARATIONVITA tax preparation by Capstone Community Action (formerly CVCAC) will be done at their own offices at 12 Prince St. in Randolph, next to the Food Shelf and Valley Bowl.
Tax preparation will NOT be offered at Kimball Library this year.
Chandler and Kimball present a Book-to-Film Series!
The Chandler Film Society and Kimball Public Library, cosponsored by the Vermont Humanities Council, are partnering to offer a Book-to-Film Series this winter.
The Chandler Film Society is showcasing eight remarkable movies that were inspired by or adapted from significant literary works.
Kimball Library is hosting scholar-led discussions on the eight books at the Library on Wednesday evenings at 7 p.m.
The next discussion will be on April 15th; the book is The Hours, by Michael Cunningham. The discussion will be led by Francette Cerulli.
You are encouraged to also read Mrs. Dalloway by Virginia Woolf, the inspiration for The Hours. Copies of both books are available at the Library.

Kimball Library has great news! We have made two improvements to our OneClickdigital service:
- The consortium we belong to now offers ebooks as well as downloadable audio.
- We have started adding titles that are available only to Kimball Library members.
New Online Resources available for free through Vermont Online Library:
Your password is the first 13 digits of your library card number. Use zeroes, not letter 'o's, and uppercase letters. Contact the Library if you don't know your number.

Universal Class: choose from over 500 online non-credit Continuing Education Courses!Kimball Library now offers access to a new database entitled Universal Class, which gives library cardholders access to over 500 online courses.
- You are welcome to enroll in up to 5 courses.
- You have up to 6 months to finish each course.
- You have access to your course 24/7 via the Internet.
- Attend class and do assignments on your schedule. Each course has a real instructor who you may communicate with using email.
- These are non-credit courses and are provided for your personal enrichment. These courses are not intended to be a substitute for any state, government, licensing, or educational requirements.
Subjects include: Guitar Playing, Budgeting and Saving, Digital Photography, Babysitting 101, Algebra, History, American Government, Nutrition and many more!
