Four computers are available free of charge for internet access, scanning, and common software programs. You may drop in or call ahead to reserve one half-hour time slot.
Kimball Library does not apply technological measures to filter internet access: such filters have proven to be both ineffective at blocking offensive materials and overzealous in suppressing protected speech. Patrons may choose to use the filtering options available on various search engines. Parents are expected to monitor their child’s use of the Internet. All computer users agree to abide by the Library’s Internet Use Policy.
High speed Internet service is supported in part by the Vermont Department of Libraries, a partner in Vermont FiberConnect, with funding from the National Telecommunications and Information Administration’s Broadband Technology Opportunities Program and the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation.
