June 18: logging in to borrow free ebooks and audio through Overdrive will change

On June 18th, the log in process to borrow free ebooks and audio via Overdrive will change. Why? So you can use Overdrive’s new app, Libby, which streamlines the borrowing / downloading process — fewer steps equals less frustration! Libby is available for Android, iOS, and Windows 10 devices. If you read or listen on a different device (e.g., Windows 7&8, Chromebook, Kindle Fire), you will continue to use the Overdrive app.

Regardless of which app you use, folks who are already accustomed to logging in to Overdrive will see a change from the old way. Your login will be slightly different, and you will also have a password. Remember: we are here to help!

If you haven’t used Overdrive to borrow free ebooks and audio, see what our collection has to offer at gmlc.overdrive.com. And remember: we are here to help!

This is what the new login will look like:

Log in to Overdrive using all 14 characters of your library card number. Your password is your last name. Both your log in and your password are case sensitive. If you don't know your library card number, contact the Library at 728-5073 or info@kimballlibrary.org.
