Kimball Library Kids - Summer 2014
Summer Reading Challenge!
280 children participated this summer!Congratulations to the six winners of the end of summer book chip drawing:
Juniper Duggan, Madison Olmstead, Shaun Paddock, Calvin Peters, Ivy Post, and Amber Wimmer.
Each winner will decorate a book plate to be placed in a book of their choosing that the Library will purchase. The winners will be the first readers of their books, which will be added to Kimball Library's collection to be shared with all patrons.
Share a summer adventure by following clues and maps around Vermont and New Hampshire. Choose from among seventy quests; easy outdoor adventures for young children, difficult hikes for older explorers.
-Travel to White River Junction for The Junction Quest, a walk through the town center featuring galleries, museums and trains.
-Trek through Vershire, Vermont on the Copperfield Town Quest to discover an abandoned ghost town, once home to more than 1,000 people.
-Explore in Strafford, Vermont on the Justin Morrill Homestead Quest as you wander among charming gardens and a 19th century “gingerbread” house.
-Go on Super Quest 2014 and journey to twelve local farm-related destinations. Pick up a copy of the farm quest at the Library. Explore, learn, eat, enjoy!
Valley Quest is a program of Vital Communities.

Wednesday Morning Storytime
Storytimes for children ages 2 to 5. We gather in a circle on the storytime rug for stories and songs. Enjoy good books, make new friends, and make a craft!
Toddlertimes is for babies to two-year olds. We sing, read, and engage in creative play for 20-30 minutes. Can’t sit up by yourself yet? Are you rolling, creeping, crawling, or running all around? We have something for everyone at toddlertime.
