OUR MISSION
Kimball Public Library creates a community gathering place, welcoming people of all ages to connect with each other and to satisfy their thirst for knowledge, reading, and learning.
The Library supports and abides by the American Library Association's Library Bill of Rights and Freedom to Read statement. The staff and trustees protect patron privacy as assured under Library policy and local, state, and federal laws. Please read our other policies on the Policy Page
MEMBERSHIP
Randolph and Braintree residents and property taxpayers are entitled to free membership. We extend this privilege to all students in the Orange Southwest Supervisory Union regardless of residency. All other Vermonters may become members by paying a non-refundable annual fee of $20. Visitors may purchase a temporary membership for $20 ($15 refundable upon surrender of library card).
LOAN POLICY
Most items may be borrowed for 3 weeks; best sellers circulate for 2 weeks, and videos for 7 days.
While Kimball Library does not charge overdue fines, we gratefully accept "Conscience Box" donations. As a courtesy to all Library members, please return items on time. You may use the bookdrop at the front door when the Library is closed.
We gladly renew items whenever possible.

Kimball Library does not apply technological measures to filter Internet access: such filters have proven to be both ineffective at blocking offensive materials and overzealous in suppressing protected speech. Patrons may choose to use the filtering options available on various search engines. Parents are expected to monitor their child's use of the Internet. All computer users agree to abide by the Library's Internet Use Policy.
VERMONT ONLINE LIBRARY
The Vermont Online Library provides access to thousands of full-text magazines, newspapers, and reference works. Excellent for research of all types, VOL can be used at the Library or remotely.
MEETING SPACE
Local non-profit groups may use the Library's meeting spaces free of charge. All meetings must be free and open to the public.
VOLUNTEERS
Kimball Library welcomes -- and relies on! -- volunteers of all ages. Call us if you would like to help!

The Library gratefully accepts donations of used books, videos, cassettes, and CDs in good condition. We do not accept encyclopedias, text books, or condensed books. Items may be added to the Library's collection, sold to raise funds, or discarded, at the discretion of the staff.
